Super Golf Swing Improvement Made Easy

Super Golf Swing Improvement Made Easy

Most golfers don’t know that eighty percent of the world’s
golfers have a handicap of 18 or more. Finding ways to
improve your golf game, then applying what you’ve learned
and practicing, is the number one way to get ahead of the
game. Even the guys who play golf for a living and get the
best golf instruction in the world still struggle to improve
their golf; and they practice each and every day!

Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you
swing. Always be aware the mental aspect of the game
contributes one way or another to the difficulty of the golf
swing. If you’ve hit with your golf driver perfectly once,
you can do it every time; the subconscious mind knows the
correct number and sequence of muscle contractions and nerve
impulses needed, called muscle memory.

As the body matures, the ability to rotate the upper torso
is affected by age, and the hand action can also slow down
requiring a slightly stronger grip. It’s difficult for a
golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch
shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a
driving range or indoor golf training facility. After the
ball is hit, the follow-through stage consists of a
continued rotation to the left.

One of the problems that most inexperienced golfers share is
they think too much about their swing. Putting can become a
nightmare and a condition called the ‘yips’ has affected not
only amateurs but professionals as well; get expert advice
and consider a golf swing aid. Try not to grip the club too
tightly.

Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their
ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways
and greens. Make sure to use the proper technique. Many
golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life
prefer the right-handed golf swing.

Swing slowly and steadily using a nice rhythm. The most
important thing about the golf swing is the angle and not
the strength that’s applied to it.

Using some simple tips, techniques and stretches, you can
increase your drives by up to 20 yards– practically
overnight. Conditioning your golf muscles will reward you
with straighter swings. Hold a medicine ball and turn back
and forth; it must be rotational to improve your driving
distance.

Sporting goods stores have golf aids to improve your game.
If you’re a golfing novice just starting out, it’s easy to
become overwhelmed. Golf swing aids come in all shapes and
sizes including apparel type accessories to correct
alignment or a golf club add-on accessory to monitor your
swing.

Be careful about the claims on TV commercials and magazine
ads; seek expert advice before you buy because they may not
live up to their claims. Golf swing aids can be found online
and are often cheaper. Look for golf swing aids at your
local golf course.

Overall, investing in golf swing aids will greatly improve
your golf swing and your golf game. Keep in mind that with
some golf swing aids, you may still need advice or help from
an expert. Ask an expert, who is not associated with the
shop you would buy your golf swing aid from, for advice on
the right aid for you.

There are a number of good golf swing aids on the market
today. There are golf swing aids that will help you with
swing alignment.

Try to concentrate on one golf swing weakness at a time.
There are hundreds of useful golf tips to seek out in golf
magazines, consumer magazines, sports magazines, in books,
ebooks, DVDs, online and offline. Take as many private
lessons as you can afford with a good golf pro.

Golf Swing Problem And How To Fix It

Golf Swing Problem And How To Fix It

Having a golf swing problem and not being able to correct it is the norm these days. Millions of golfers every year walk off the course in frustration. They all have a golf swing problem and have tried to fix it the “traditional way”. What I mean…is going to an instructor who can very easily point out what the golfer is doing, but cannot necessarily get to the root of the problem. So many times the instructor will tell the golfer “he’s coming over the top” and that’s why he’s slicing the ball.

Or maybe he’s got the “chicken wing” in his follow through. But what does all that mean if you can’t get to what’s the cause and effect of that golf swing problem?

I’m here to tell you that many golf swing problems are caused by your body’s inability to perform optimal golf swing mechanics. Let me say that again. Your body is the culprit. If you don’t take a look at what the ‘physical’ issue is, you can take all the lessons you want and you will continue to have the same golf swing problem.

Let me give you a specific example.

You have a hard time staying “in your posture” during your golf swing. You’ve taken many lessons and your golf instructor keeps telling you “your coming out of your swing”. But what good is that if you don’t know why this is happening?

I’ll give you one (of many) reasons why this could be happening!

Your hamstrings (the back of your upper leg) are too tight AND week! This is a fact with the majority of golfers, especially the senior golfers.

Golf posture requires a bending at the hips, which puts a strain on the hamstrings and low back. If your hamstrings are tight, they will send a message to your brain saying “I can’t hold this, get me out of this uncomfortable position”.

Does that make sense?

The other message your hamstrings might send is “I’m not strong enough to hold this position, I’m going bail out of this position”.

This is a very common cause of “coming out of your golf swing”.

But if you are not aware this is the cause, you will continue to take lessons and hear the same thing over and over again. You could have saved hundreds of dollars in lessons, just by stretching and strengthening your hamstrings specific to your golf posture.

This is just one of many examples of how your body is what’s causing the golf swing problem.

Once you take the approach that your body dictates your ability to swing correctly, you will be on your way to the best golf of your life. You will soon not have to worry about a golf swing problem anymore.

Cure That Sick Golf Swing The Easy Way

Cure That Sick Golf Swing The Easy Way

No matter what area of your game needs improving, whether
it’s balance and alignment or power and speed, there’s a
solution waiting for you. Many golfers play golf just to
hack around and have some fun; more avid players are always
looking for ways to improve their swing and their overall
game. Hard to believe but there are roughly 27 million
golfers in the world today.

If you’ve hit with your golf driver perfectly once, you can
do it every time; the subconscious mind knows the correct
number and sequence of muscle contractions and nerve
impulses needed, called muscle memory. The positive energy
you send out will influence your game, just as negative
thinking and therefore negative energy will affect it also.
Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you
swing.

Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their
ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways
and greens. Before you swing, make sure you’re relaxed;
contract all your muscles tightly for a moment and then
relax them. Trust your golf club to do the job it was
intended to do.

Use the basic ‘hitchhiker’ position when you’re working on
your backswing. One of the problems that most inexperienced
golfers share is they think too much about their swing.
After the ball is hit, the follow-through stage consists of
a continued rotation to the left.

Putts and short chips are ideally played without much
movement of the body, but most other shots are played using
variants of the full golf swing. Many golfers who are
strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the
right-handed swing. Sidespin occurs when the clubface is not
aligned perpendicularly to the plane of swing.

It’s difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer
than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays
to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training
facility.

Use the muscles in your legs and trunk when you swing.
Conditioning your golf muscles will reward you with
straighter swings. To prevent injury and improve swing speed
and distance requires your body to be both strong and
flexible. Don’t underestimate the value of fitness when it
comes to your golf swing and your overall game.

Golf swing aids will improve your game. Most of all don’t
waste your money on a golf swing aid you don’t need or will
never use. Overall, investing in golf swing aids will
greatly improve your swing and your game.

If you’re a golfing novice just starting out, it’s easy to
become overwhelmed. Look for golf swing aids at your local
golf course. Golf swing aids come in all shapes and sizes
including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a
golf club add-on accessory to monitor your swing.

Sporting goods stores have aids to improve your game.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting out, pick
just one golf swing aid and go to work on your swing. There
are aids that will help you with swing alignment.

If you’re looking for an aid to improve your stance they’re
not hard to find. Golf magazines often review the newest
golf swing aids and are reviewed by golfers, making it easy
to choose the right one for you.

Practice, practice, practice! When you play a round of golf,
concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or
something specific that day; have a plan in mind. Try to
concentrate on one golf swing weakness at time.

Online Golf Equipment Reviews Give Indispensable Advice

Online Golf Equipment Reviews Give Indispensable Advice

I hate trial and error when it comes to spending money. I
much prefer unbiased golf equipment reviews to make my
purchasing decisions. I’ve even been known to whip out my
iPhone and use its web browser to look up a product review
while I was in a pro shop. This has often saved me from
wasting money on a product that wasn’t right for me.

But where do you look and how can you tell what’s biased and
what’s unbiased? And where to find a good site? Things have
changed over the past 15 years. Back then, email was a
productivity tool and not an exercise in frustration with
all the spam. Likewise, websites gave you actual information
whereas today half of them are a canned paragraph of useless
text and a barrage of obnoxious ads.

My ideal golf website is created and run by a true
golfaholic. Somehow who knows the game inside out, yet also
knows how to write and run a website. The site would explain
the game of golf, describe all the equipment needed for
golf, contain tips and resources on how to improve your
game, and so on. It’d include factual information about the
game, historic tidbits, as well as plenty of straightforward
reviews of golf clubs, golf shows, and golf carts. I want to
learn why today’s golf balls go farther and why they are so
much easier to control. And I want to know, how in experts’
unbiased opinion, balls from Maxfli, Titleist, Nike,
Callaway and others differ.

Yes, I know; you can read about all this in magazines and
there certainly are enough golf commercials and ads out
there. But just knowing that leading golfers uses Ogio or
Burton golf bags or some advanced Ping hybrid doesn’t help
me much. I am not Tiger Woods or Ernie Els. I just want to
know how well golf bags, golf carts, golf shoes or golf club
work for me. I don’t need the hype. I just want the facts.

To give you one example of what I am looking for. I do
believe in training aids. I am not a golfing natural and I
need all the help I can get. But I also don’t want to waste
money on stuff that doesn’t work. So why should I not
benefit from the knowledge and expertise of someone who has
tried it all? For example, I had no idea how the LeaderBoard
Golf Trainer worked. But I found a detailed description on a
golf site and now I know all about it. That doesn’t
necessarily mean I’ll buy it, but now I know what it is.

Another technology I’ve become interested in is golf GPS.
You can buy those at discount stores, but I wanted to know
how they work and where they fit into my game. Once again,
an online golf equipment review website came to the rescue.
It’s just invaluable to have an expert describes a
technology, how it can help you, and then point you in the
right direction.

Do sites like the ones I described above have to completely
non-commercial? I don’t think so. Everyone deserves fair
compensation for their work and if a really good golf
equipment review site has links to stores and sites the
author has had good experiences with, that’s fine with me.
I’d rather buy from a place that comes highly recommended.

Improve Your Golf Swing The Easy Way

Improve Your Golf Swing The Easy Way

Most golfers aren’t aware of the fact that eighty percent of
the world’s golfers have a handicap of 18 or more. Finding
ways to improve your golf game, then applying what you’ve
learned and practicing diligently, is the best way to get
ahead of the game. Did you know the average golfer’s gross
score is 107 shots?

Don’t worry about what others think or may say about your
swing; work to improve it at your own speed. A common mental
error golfers make when driving the ball is to hit it as
hard as possible. Approach the game with a positive attitude
and repeat affirmations if you can, such as “I play great
golf all the time.”

It’s difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer
than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays
to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training
facility. Putts and short chips are ideally played without
much movement of the body, but most other golf shots are
played using variants of the full golf swing. Sidespin
occurs when the clubface is not aligned perpendicularly to
the plane of swing.

Trust your golf club to do the job it was intended to do. At
the end of a swing, the weight has shifted almost entirely
to the left foot, the body is fully turned to the left and
the hands are above the left shoulder with the club hanging
down over the players’ back. The backswing is a rotation to
the right, consisting of a shifting of the player’s body
weight to the right side, a turning of the pelvis and
shoulders, lifting of the arms and flexing of the elbows and
wrists.

Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily
life prefer the right-handed golf swing. Try not to grip the
club too tightly. Swing slowly and steadily using a nice
rhythm. Use the basic ‘hitchhiker’ position when you’re
working on your backswing. The most important thing about
the golf swing is the angle and not the strength that’s
applied to it.

Golf workouts will change your game forever. Conditioning
your golf muscles will reward you with straighter swings.
It’s no secret; most of the professional players actively
participate in workouts.

If you’re a golfing novice just starting out, it’s easy to
become overwhelmed. In any case, stick to just one golf
swing aid at a time; don’t load up on them. Golf aids are
often for sale at your pro shop or local golf shop.

Keep in mind that with some aids, you may still need advice
or help from an expert. There are a number of good golf
swing aids on the market today. Sporting goods stores have
aids to improve your game.

Golf swing aids can be found online and are often cheaper.
Aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type
accessories to correct alignment or a golf club add-on
accessory to monitor your swing. Look for golf swing aids at
your local golf course.

There are aids that will help you with swing alignment. Ask
an expert, who is not associated with the shop you would buy
your golf swing aid from, for advice on the right aid for
you.

If you apply both physical and mental workouts, golf swing
improvement will be your reward. When you play a round of
golf, concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or
something specific that day; have a plan in mind. Invest in
a few of the newest golf books and golf ebooks; older golf
books may be outdated.

Successful Tips To Improve Your Golf Swing

Successful Tips To Improve Your Golf Swing

As Bob Hope said about golf “If you watch a game it is fun.
If you play it, it is recreation. If you work at it, it is
golf?. This particularly applies to the golf swing.

A perfect golf swing is produced by good technique and seems
effortless, it is made up of a set of movements that result
in the club striking the ball in exactly the right way.
There is only one way to improve your golf swing and that is
lots of practice, but if you approach things with the right
attitude you will improve.

It has been said that one way to recognise a great golf
swing is to see how missed shots work out, if they still
produce an acceptable result you have a good swing. It is
really amazing to see how the body performs when executing a
good golf swing both from a mechanical and physical stand
point the increased power in the swing results in extra golf
club head speed, and a longer shot. Most golf players will
agree that their swing is something they are constantly
trying to improve and it something they will always be
trying to improve. A full golf swing is a highly complex and
in many ways an unnatural action for the body to perform and
requires constant practice to hopefully get right.

It is accepted by most golf players that a good golf swing
may seem effortless but this is only achieved by applying
good technique, which comes from lots of practice. The
application of lots of practice will help you to develop
what a lot of golf professionals call muscle memory, this
means that you will perform the same swing every time. By
developing a near perfect golf swing and using the correct
grip your game is bound to improve.

I think it is fair to say that the only thing that can
produce a perfect golf swing every time with out fail is
Iron Byron, (Iron Byron is a robot named after the great
player Byron Nelson and is used by the United States Golf
Association to test gold clubs and golf balls). By watching
the Iron Byron strike a golf ball you will understand what
the perfect golf swing is and how the component parts of the
swing work together. The perfect golf swing results in the
bottom of the ball being hit in exactly the right manner by
the head of the golf club, once you have developed that
swing practice and develop it, practice makes permanent.

How to improve your golf swing seems to be a thought that is
on the mind of golfers many times per day, if you want to
reduce strokes off your game the best way is to get help to
improve your golf swing. There are hundreds if not thousands
of books, videos, gadgets and tools around to help you
improve your golf swing. Perhaps one of the best things to
use is a video camera, it is an effective tool to help you
improve your golf swing technique get a friend or your coach
to video your action and compare it to videos of the
professionals. Many of these videos can show you the right
techniques to improve your golf swing, and give you the key
to success in this sport.

The proper golf swing is not hard to learn but it does take
a lot of practice. The key to transforming your golf swing
is transforming your body by constant practice. A golf swing
in many ways is just as demanding as a baseball swing or a
jump shot, but many golfers don’t exercise or train to
improve their golf swing timing. Building a sound golf swing
with a good understanding of the principles of the golf
swing is important for your overall performance. As I said
earlier one of the best ways to improve your golf swing is
to watch the swing positions of your favorite professional.
Your golf swing is very dependent on your physique, personal
strengths, and natural tendencies. Your golf swing is the
main thing that defines you as a golfer.

Better Golf Solutions Start With One Simple Approach

Better Golf Solutions Start With One Simple Approach

Better golf solutions is a mystery for the average golfer. Finding the magic bullet that’s going to cure your game overnight isn’t going to happen. In looking for better golf solutions, you’ve got to think about what’s the main reason you’re not making a sound, repeatable golf swing that generates power and accuracy? Common approaches to better golf solutions are taking more lessons; buying new golf equipment that will hopefully make up for your swing faults (such as offset/oversized drivers and irons); purchasing training aids that promise the world, but end up in your garage gathering dust or being sold on ebay; or going to the range with a new level of practice commitment.

The six million dollar question! Did it help? Are you happy with your results?

If the answer is yes…congratulations on your success! If the answer is no, than what in the world is left? You’ve done everything right?

I want you to think real hard for a second.

What one thing is critical in swinging a club, hitting the ball square and long, and producing results?

YOU!

You dictate your outcome!

Let me explain.

You body has a current level of physical capability. It is what it is. Whatever that level is, will be your outcome. No ifs, ands, or buts about it! You will never consistently play to what you think your potential is until you improve your “physical capabilities”!

If golfers knew this little secret, they’d save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year on lessons, gimmicky training aids, equipment and range fees.

You are an athlete! A golf athlete! You’ve got to “prepare your body to perform”.

What other athletic event do you know of where the athlete just shows up without working on his/her physical attributes?

None!

I hate to be so blunt, but it is a fact. Only until you realize this, and take it to heart will you achieve your golfing goals. Your BODY determines your outcome. Your BODY makes your golf swing. Your BODY physically plays for 18 holes. Your BODY dictates your confidence. I hope you’re getting the point here.

I can’t say this strong enough!

Take the approach like an athlete and you will never have to think of better golf solutions.

Can A Golf Tip Online Help Your Game

Can A Golf Tip Online Help Your Game

A golf tip online can save you hours out of your schedule, but can it really help your game? With more and more people getting Internet connections, golfers are flocking to the Internet in hopes to find tips, techniques and even total golf performance programs to save their golf game.

There are many concerns with taking a golf tip online and hoping it will be the silver bullet to your game. Always consider the source of this golf tip. If you read an article like this one, or find some resource online, make sure to read the resource box at the bottom of the article.

Usually the article or resource will have a mini-bio of the person who authored the information with a link to either their site or some kind of indepth explanation of who the person is and what their credentials are.

Any golfer no matter what their ability or certifications can post a golf tip online via website, blog or article. On the Internet this is rampant! There are more so-called gurus than ever before. Every golfer probably has some valuable information they have to give, but if they are not qualified to give it, they should probably keep it for their own game.

With the Internet turning into more of a “pay-for-content” vehicle, there are many qualified people who are putting valuable golf tips online, along with reports, ebooks and even complete membership sites like my Golf-Trainer.com site that has been on the net for over 5 years now. Since then, I have seen many imitation sites and products, which is one huge drawback of the web.

Web surfers would never know what reports, ebooks and membership sites are the most credible and original in format and effectiveness. I am always hesitant with reading any golf tip online until I thoroughly look into the person behind the product. How long have they been in their profession? What successes have they helped create? And if you can personally talk to several people who have purchased and benefited from their products?

In researching these products and programs, read all the copy on the site. You will read some pretty amazing stuff that’s hard to swallow. These claims seem impossible when you look at how long they’ve been on the net and how many so-called golfers they’ve helped. Just do some math and you’ll find that these numbers are most likely false.

The bottom line with any golf tip online is if it does in fact help your game. If it does, you will most likely tell other golfing friends about it and the website and business will be successful just from word-of-mouth.

And one last piece of advice. Any person or business giving golf tips online should be reachable. You should easily be able to find their contact information, including phone number. When I answer my phone, people are shocked! I ask them why, and they say they didn’t think there was a “real person” behind it.

That’s a sad situation that shows the skepticism of web visitors. If you have to look hard for the contact information, I would not recommend using or purchasing any golf tips or programs online.

I don’t want to deter you, but just do a little homework when searching for a golf tip online.

Improve Your Golf Swing With Keeping Your Golf Club On The Correct Swing Plane

Improve Your Golf Swing With Keeping Your Golf Club On The Correct Swing Plane

We as golfers have heard the term swing plane many times during our golfing careers. But do we really know the definition of it and the bearing upon our golf swing?

Recently, I had a conversation with Dean Reinmuth (top 30 teaching pro ranked by Golf Digest) and I think he described swing plane the best. Dean suggests to think of the swing plane as an imaginary circle. The imaginary circle that represents the swing plane is set at an angle. It is the path on which it is necessary for the club to travel in order to execute the swing correctly.

Beginning at address, the clubhead and shaft should be positioned at the “bottom” of the swing plane. During takeaway into the backswing and at the transition point of the swing, the clubhead and shaft are to remain on the swing plane. These three phases of the swing represent the club traveling “up” the swing plane to “top” of it. Keep in mind the visual of the circle and the shaft of the club dissecting the shoulder during these phases of the swing.

Once the transition is complete, the downswing begins and the clubhead is moving down the swing plane. The path on which the club is traveling down should be the same as on the backswing.

Continuing on with the swing plane, the club is to travel to again the “bottom” of the swing plane for impact with the golf ball. Once impact has occurred with the golf ball the follow-through of the swing occurs, and it is still necessary for the club to travel upon the correct swing plane. This assures that you are releasing the golf club correctly.

The swing plane on the follow through is essentially a “mirror image” of it on the backswing. The golf club, again, must travel up an imaginary circle that dissects your front shoulder up into the finish position.

What does the swing plane represent?

The swing plane represents the path on which your golf club should travel upon during the swing.

Why is it so important for the golf club to travel upon the swing plane?

The golf club must travel upon the correct swing path in order to impact the golf ball correctly. Impacting the golf ball correctly provides the greatest possibility of delivering powerful, accurate, and consistent shots on the course of play.

Oftentimes the golf club does not travel upon the correct swing plane. What happens in such instances?

The path of the club becomes and “outside to in” move resulting in a slice, or an “inside to out” swing plane resulting in a hook. Overall, the club’s not traveling on the correct swing plane results in poor shots.

Now that we know what a proper swing plane is within the golf swing and we can visually create a picture of it, how do we develop the proper swing plane?

This is the hard part, and there are no secrets about it. Referring back to my conversation with Dean Reinmuth, he suggests that it is a process of creating “feel” for the proper swing plane. Creating “feel” is a process of knowing where the clubhead is on the swing plane. This allows you to know where your golf club is in regards to the proper swing plane required of the golf swing.

How do you go about creating “feel” within your golf swing?

It is a process of understanding the mechanics of swing and developing the proper swing mechanics within your golf swing.

This allows you to know what the golf club should be doing, where it should be during each phase of the swing, and when it is not where it should be when you are swinging the golf club.

Overall, it becomes a process of recognition. Recognition of what is the right and the wrong movements/positions within the golf swing. Once “feel” is developed within your swing, I would definitely say you are close to mastering the golf swing.

This does require time and effort on your part. But if you are willing to put in the time and effort, rewards on the course will be well documented.
